More Male Birthday Cards …

By | July 23, 2014

I have another couple of Birthday card to share with you today as it’s my husband’s birthday tomorrow.

These are  the cards my children made for him.

My daughter (6) was totally in charge of hers, with colour choice, stamp choice and placement.  The little owls were chosen to represent herself, her little brother and sister.  I masked off the sentiment for her as it didn’t suit our card.  I also did do all the placing and sticking for her as she recently broke her right arm and is right-handed – but not bad colouring in, if I say so myself,  considering it was all done with her left hand!

I had a little bit more artistic influence over my son’s card (he’s 4), though he was adamant he was having those hearts and stars so I had to find a place for them! He chose the colours himself so I offered him various papers from our Moonlight DSP and he opted for this one…

We do have a Crushed Curry embossing powder, but as I don’t yet have it (yes, there are still some Stampin’ Up products I don’t yet have 😉 so I embossed the sentiment with White Embossing Powder and then coloured it in with our darkest colour in our Daffodil Delight Blendabilities range.  Another perk of our Blendabilities – I mean, seriously, is there nothing these markers can’t do!?!

I hope their Dad is suitably impressed with their efforts, I know they will be very proud handing them over.

Here are the supplies we used to make them

We will be busy with our birthday celebrations today and tomorrow, but I will be back soon with yet another Birthday card to share with you.
Until next time, happy crafting
