All Wrapped Up for PPA#279 and ATCAS#78 (Edited)

By | December 12, 2015

Only 13 days to go to the Big Day, as my kids keep reminding me!  So I thought I would combine two challenges this week and create a fun little Christmas card.

Firstly, the colour challenge over at Pals Paper Arts screamed Christmas to me and Addicted to CAS have asked us to incorporate ‘JOY’ into our creations.

12-10-PPA279

ATCAS - code word joy

And here is what I came up with

I hope you like today’s entry and do leave me a comment to let me know your thoughts.

Don’t forget we are having a fabulous sale with up to 60% off, click on my online shop link on the top tool bar and don’t forget to use the Rainbow Rewards Shopping code to receive an extra little gift in the post from me!!  Well, it is Christmas after all!

Here is everything I used to make today’s card.

Before you read the listI have to edit this post!!  I’m not the most skilled with IT so as I’ve already pinned these images and linked up to two challenge blogs, I was unsure how swapping out the pictures would affect this blog post.  As you can see from the PPA colour challenge image and what I’ve created – I used the wrong GREEN!!!  For some reason, I had Old Olive in my mind when instead we were asked for Mossy Meadow.

So just in case I somehow muck up the whole post, I’m going to play it safe and just add the card redone with the correct green!!  I know that makes the post incredibly picture heavy so do bear with me!

I must admit, I much prefer the Cherry Cobbler/Mossy Meadow combo, what about you?

Until next time, happy crafting

Hi Eimear – I loved your card in both Old Olive and Mossy Meadow. Either would have been fine for the PPA challenge, but I’m glad you showcased both! I also think your use of vellum for the bow was a brilliant touch. I’m glad you found inspiration in this week’s Pals Paper Arts color combo. I hope to see you play with us again soon!

How clever are you, Eimear? LOVE the two tone bow using vellum. And the tag for the sentiment is brilliant! Thanks for playing with Pals Paper Arts!

Eimear, lovely card! I think the wrapped card to match any gift would be wonderful! I really like your card in both color combinations, but I think it’s really sweet that you swapped out colors too, the Mossy Meadow gives it a bit more pop, but either card looks great! Thank you for joining us this week at the Pals Paper Arts Challenge!

I think so too, Jackie. This card definitely suits Mossy Meadow more.
