Awesomely Artistic for #TGIFC07 and PPA255

By | June 14, 2015

In Friday’s delivery, I got another fantastic new stamp set called Awesomely Artistic that, again, I couldn’t wait to ink up!  I haven’t forgotten about my old favourites but there’s just something about new stamps, isn’t there? Plus I thought it would suit a couple of challenges I’d spotted just perfectly.

Firstly, I fancied having a go at the sketch challenge over at TGIF and then I thought I would try using the colours suggested in the latest PPA challenge.

So here is the card I came up with.

I flipped the sketch and used a base of Early Espresso followed by Whisper White. I’ve then taken the Neutrals DSP stack and used the diagonal Sahara Sand pattern turning the pattern around so it was horizontal. I then have a smaller layer of Marina Mist followed by Whisper White where I have stamped the splodges and the woven effect stamp in Sahara Sand. I embossed the blooms in Whisper White and fussy cut them.. Don’t look too closely as my 7 yr old, 5 yr old and 3 yr old were in the room at the time, so I was somewhat distracted!!

I’ve then stamped ‘friend’ within the frame stamp and used the Project Life Framelits to cut it out. Finally I popped thje flowers and sentiments up on dimensionals for a bit of interest.

I hope you like my entry, do leave a comment as I love hearing your opinions and I do reply to them all.

Until next time, happy stamping.

Thx Mercedes, it’s not normally a set I would go for but was sold immediately when I saw it demonstrated at our regional event.
