Stampin’ Creative February Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to our Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop for February! You may have arrived here from my good friend, Lesley Lendon’s blog (no pressure following her fab creative project then!!) or you may just be starting your tour with mine. Either way, enjoy! This time we are creating projects based around a sketch and here it is… I decided to flip the sketch for both my projects and have… Read More »

Stampin’ Up Little Buddy Valentine for PPA 238

This week in the PPA Challenge, we are asked to design a card using the above three colours. I decided to ink up Little Buddy Birthday and make a cute little Valentine, suitable for the young and young at heart. I used the Mirror Technique to create two dinosaurs holding some love heart ballooons.  It’s quite an easy technique and can be used for a whole variety of stamps.  I stamped… Read More »

Stampin’ Up – Team Night Swaps

I promised to show you some of the swaps from our team night last week. First of all, here’s mine.  I love this Sale-a-bration set – FREE with any purchase of £45!  I was still undecided as to the orientation of the card, right up until the last minute – which version do you prefer? I’ve stamped the light bulb and greeting in Memento Ink and coloured in with my Daffodil… Read More »

Stampin’ Up – Private Card Class

I had a private card class last night for my lovely hostess, Nora.  She had requested we make a medley of cards that she could recreate with her children as she likes to make Thank you’s and Birthday cards with them.  So I was happy to oblige! The first one I shared  on my Facebook page last night, it uses Little Buddy Birthday – which is my favourite set to… Read More »

Little Buddy Children’s Birthday Card

With three small children in the house, you can never have enough Birthday cards in the house ready to go.  But for some reason, a Birthday party seemed to sneak up on me this morning without a card ready!! Call it a hangover from Christmas!! Thankfully, I remembered my recent purchase of Little Buddy Birthday and decided to ink it up.  I also recently received Sweet Taffy DSP so thought I would… Read More »

Happy New Year one and all!

2015 has arrived! Do you make New Year’s Resolutions? I must admit, I don’t make any ‘formal’ resolutions as I rarely even remember what they were come March! I am going to try and look after myself a little bit more, drink a bit more water, exercise a little but no ridiculous resolutions that I know I wont keep up with. I’m also going to try and keep up with… Read More »

Stampin’ Up – Happy Hallow’een!

Happy Halloween! We’ve always had some fun around Halloween as I’m from Ireland.  As children, we used to have plenty of games on Halloween night such as dunking for apples and special prize filled apple tarts, plus of course, sparklers around the obligatory bonfire.  I’ve never sent Halloween cards before, but with some of the sets that featured in this year’s seasonal catalogue, I couldn’t resist this year. I saw… Read More »

Stampin’ Up All Occasion Wreaths with Petite Petals

We had our team meeting last week and we do like to swap cards with each other.  I decided to make a Christmas wreath but not having the Wondrous Wreath set yet, I decided to use my Petite Petals set. I used Petite Petals to stamp on Garden Green and punched it out with the coordinating punch. To decorate I used the little flower from Something to Say on Cherry… Read More »

Need any more Christmas card ideas??

Every month, I hold two regular classes – my Fast and Fabulous class where we make four cards that are not too labour intensive and my Technique class where we make two or three cards that focus on a particular technique or that may just take a bit more time. This month, in our Technique class, we focussed on the Emboss Resist technique.  This is where you add colour over an embossed… Read More »

More Christmas card ideas using White Christmas from Stampin’ Up

I had to return to my favourite set from this year’s Christmas catalogue – White Christmas – as I hadn’t used all the elements yet! This time I decided to use the car with a Christmas tree on top. I fussy cut it and gave it some dimension with a dimensional behind it. It was a very quick and easy card to make. I used the Blendabilities markers to colour in… Read More »

Happy World Cardmaking Day – Using Stampin’ Up Markers on Stamps

This was my first purchase from the Seasonal Catalogue as I fell on love with the sample featuring these sets. My project today is pretty similar – though I must admit, I’m not that fond of one-layer cards, so I used Cherry Cobbler as my base and a mat of Very Vanilla on top. I was a little disappointed with the embossing folder at first as the pattern is larger… Read More »

Stampin’ Up – Christmas Washi Tape

A little while ago, I saw a card on the very talented Mary Fish’ site, that I just loved. Even though I had none of the supplies she used to make the card,  I still loved the layout and decided to use my own supplies to make a Christmas version. I used the colours featured in the All is Calm Designer Washi Tape to guide me in my colour choice.  So,… Read More »

As of yesterday, our full range of Blendabilities is now available.  Apologies for not telling you yesterday, but what with the amazing Big Shot promotion being launched, it almost slipped my mind! Blendabilities are alcohol-based markers meaning the ink is suspended in alcohol making the colours so easy to blend.  Our colours are sold in packs of three, a light, a medium and a dark shade and are perfect grown-up colouring… Read More »

Stampin’ Up Gifts for End of an Era

Well, it’s been a big week this week as it was the end of term and my son has just left pre-school behind and will head to big school in September.  I had a lot of people to thank both for his time at pre-school and my daughter’s year too.  So what better way than making a little handmade gift with Stampin’ Up! supplies? I packaged some gorgeous beauty products… Read More »

Stampin’ Up Blendabilities – even more versatile than I thought!!

If I haven’t convinced you on the merits of our brand new alcohol-based markers, Blendabilities, then perhaps this post might just do it! They honestly are so easy to use and the shades blend together so fluidly. But not only that, you can colour our rhinestones, pearls and ribbons too! As they are alcohol-based, it dries so quickly, so no inky fingers! Take a look…   What a beautiful, vibrant, Pumpkin… Read More »
