Christmas Cuties for the first ever Global Design Project #GDP001 and Mojo Monday 414

By | September 7, 2015

A double first and quick post from me today to enter my card onto the first ever challenge on the Global Design Project Challenge site.Β  I’m also linking itΒ to Mojo Monday – my first ever entry here too., woohoo!

Global Design Project was a colour challenge…

and MoJo Monday’s Sketch …

and here is my entry

Stampin Up GDP Christmas Cuties 1-001

Now you may be wondering, mmmmmm, that doesn’t quite look like the new corner punch from Stampin’ Up and you’d be right!! I was crazy enough not to add it to my pre-order.

I have since fallen in love with all the samples I’ve seen from other demonstrators and will be remedying that shortly πŸ˜‰

However, in the interim I used a nifty little trick that my downline, Karen, shared with us at our last team meeting. The punch used on the corners is actually the tiny heart from the itty bitty accents, clever, eh?!

Β

You can’t beat a bit of sparkle at Christmas and there is just a hint of Dazzling Diamonds on her angel wings.
Here is everything else I used on the card.

I hope you like my entry. Do please leave a comment as I’d love to hear from you,
Until next time, happy crafting.

Eimear, this is too cute! I thought how perfect this set would be to use for the GDP but I don’t have it. Glad to see someone use it! Too cute!!

I love your water colouring and the Dazzling Diamonds on her wings – so pretty! The Jute ribbon behind you panel is inspired. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project!

Eimear your card is just beautiful. What an amazing job you’ve done with the colouring and I love the little hint of sparkle on her wings. Thanks also for sharing the tip about the heart punch corners – you learn something new everyday! Thank you so much for taking the time to play along with us in the first Global Design Team challenge!

This is such a cute Christmas card and I would have never thought of Christmas with this color challenge, but it works perfectly with the angel. And how about those corners? Well done. Thank you so much for joining our first challenge at Global Design Project.

I have Karen to thank for the corner idea. I’d used the Bitty Butterfly before but never the heart – it’s clever isn’t it?!

Eimeer – the angel is a perfect choice for this color combination. I love your card – great use of the two challenges – and am particularly in awe of your watercoloring. Very beautiful! Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project color challenge!
