Guy Greetings for another Reflection Technique card

By | March 13, 2016

This week in my Technique Tuesday class we focused on the Reflection Technique and if you caught my Periscope video last night you would have seen how I achieved it on this card – by the way, you can still vote for me in the Blog Highlight 😉

With this card, I wanted to create a locker room feel with a saw dust floor and my man looking at his reflection in the mirror.  In the class, we added  the words brother, uncle, dad from Guy Greetings depending on who we wanted to send it to.

I used our Silver Foil sheets and the Lots of Labels framelits to create my mirror frame and used a layer of Window Sheet both in the technique itself and also on the ‘mirror’.

Stampin Up Guy Greetings Reflection technique 2-001

If you didn’t catch my Periscope video, here’s a quick run-down.

  • Stamp your image on a piece of Window Sheet
  • Turn the window sheet over and transfer the image to your cardstock by applying pressure – I just rubbed it with my bone folder.
  • Colour it in if you need to – if using a water reflection you may want to make the reflection colours a little lighter and this is easy to achieve with a blender pen

It’s a really fun technique to try, why don’t you give it a go?  What stamp sets do you have in your stash that this technique would work with?  If you like any of the products I used, here is a full listing and clicking on them will bring you to that item in my online shop.

Don’t forget a £45 order will earn you a free item from our SAB brochure and by using the current Rainbow Rewards shopping code 2GEGTMK9 you can earn a free gift in the post from me too!
