Happy Birthday Hubby!

By | July 21, 2016

We’re getting ready for a double Happy birthday in our household this weekend and you may have seen my son’s card to his Dad if you follow me on Instagram (I was super proud!!), so without further ado, here is my card.

My July Technique Tuesday class focused on shaker cards and I have become quite addicted to this style ever since! This is pretty much the same card as we made in class this month, just a more masculine version.

It uses the fabulous By the Shore DSP and I die-cut some stars in the co-ordinating colours from Dapper Denim and Calypso Coral. This particular DSP reminds me of the Henley Regatta or the stripes of summer deck chairs, what does it remind you of?

I just love that bold, large Happy Birthday stamp don’t you?! I’m a sucker for a hand-written font.

It’s a little easier to see in this photo, but it’s a Shaker Layer card if that makes sense – not quite sure what the official term is – if you know, do leave me a comment!

I hope you like my birthday card today and I hope hubby likes it on Saturday – I’m pretty safe posting it here as he doesn’t read my blog very often! Of course, Sod’s law will be he will read it before his birthday on Saturday!!
Before I go, as always, here is a list of everything I used to make today’s card.

Don’t forget this month’s promotion where every £45 you spend earns you a Bonus Day voucher of £4.50 to spend next month!

Until next time, happy crafting
