Happy Valentine’s Day with PPA challenge 239

By | February 14, 2015

This week in the PPA challenge 239 we are invited to create a card using the colours Real Red, Soft Suede and Crumb Cake.

With it being half term here and still having my computer issues,I wasn’t sure I would have time to create a card or even upload it to my blog, but blogging on my phone seemed to work yesterday so trying  again today!! It does take a long time editing as typing with one finger is testing on a tiny screen!!

Anyway, back to the more important matter in hand. I did create this card for a PPA challenge a few weeks back but decided against entering it as I had omitted one of the elements required in the sketch and I didn’t feel it would qualify.  However, as luck would have it, it uses the three exact colours required in this weeks challenge.

Stampin' Up PPA Challenge 237-001

My base is Crumb Cake and I’ve stamped the wood background using Soft Suede and the Hardwood stamp. I’ve taken two of the images from Hello Life and lined them up together, stamping them in Real Red in the recess created by double punching using the Sweetheart Punch. I sponged a little Crumb Cake around the edges and in the recess to create a more realistic effect. Some Cherry Cobbler Baker’s Twine was added for a little embellishment.

Unfortunately, as I’m on my phone, I can’t add my usual list of supplies – haven’t quite figured out how to do that from this device yet, but if you’ve any questions or thoughts on the card, just leave a comment below.

until next time, happy crafting,

Eimear
