I’m taking part in a Global Blog Hop this morning with some very talented demonstrators where we all want to show you some of the fabulous FREE stamps you could earn yourself during Stampin’ Up’s Sale-a-Bration 2018. Every spend of £45 can earn you 1 x level One product or a £90 spend could earn you 2 x Level One products or 1 x Level Two product. The Sale-a-Bration 2018 product I want to showcase today is Epic Celebration. It is perfect for Tweens and Teens and really anyone with a love of music (or trainers!!).
When making this card, I wasn’t thinking of a young person as you can see by the vinyl – in fact my 7 year old asked ‘What’s that!?!’ Do not despair, not all is lost, my 9 year old knew what it was!!
Tips and Tricks for Creating my Epic Celebration 2018 Sale-a-bration Card
- To make the record, I die-cut a circle with my largest circle framelit. I laid all the smaller circles on top of the Basic Black circle on the magnetic platform to keep them from moving. An old dried-up pen was put to good use – always plenty of those in our house and always when you want one that actually works!! I used it to scored on the inside of each circle .
- My background was created by randomly stamping the guitar and headphones in Fresh Fig. The sentiment was also stamped in Fresh Fig and punched out with the 1 3/8 circle punch.
- I used the In-Colour Finely Woven Ribbon in Fresh Fig together with the Mini Sequin Trim in Silver to embellish the card – well, every card should have a bit of bling!
Since posting this card I have had a lot of questions on how to make the album, so I made a video, – well, I actually made two as I made a whopper of a mistake when uploading the first one!!! The corrected version is below, I hope it helps.
I hope you have fun with the 2018 Sale-a-bration products and that this card has inspired you today. Do hop on through the rest of the group, you are sure to see some marvellous creations.
