Missing in Action…

By | August 25, 2015

By my own admission, I am not the most technically gifted person in the world.  I had photographed a few projects to share with you while on a recent trip back to Ireland, but while there I was unable to transfer them to a blog post.  GGRRRRR!!! I could blame my internet provider but as my mother always said, a bad workman always blames his tools!! (Though to be fair, my internet provider is pretty rubbish too!)

Anyway, at least I was able to share with you the fabulous Watercolor Wishes card kit – if you missed it, click here.

Today, I have a card to share with you from my recent Technique Tuesday card class.  We were working with embossing folders again this month – there are so many fun things to do with embossing folders, we could do several classes with them.

Stampin Up Friendly Wishes and Polka Dots-001

So as you can see I’ve used my Polka Dot embossing folder and used sponge daubers with firstly White craft ink and then Soft Sky.  I’m sure I saw a card on Pinterest similar to this that gave me the idea, but I didn’t pin it and now I can’t find it, so if it was your card that inspired me, thank you very much and apologies for not crediting you – let me know and I can rectify it.

I chose the sentiment from Friendly Wishes as I liked the way it finished in a straight line on one side, giving me a perfect excuse to slice off one side.  The ribbon I used is now retired but we have several other ribbons that would work equally as well.

I hope I have given you some ideas and inspiration to try out some fun techniques with embossing folders.  Do check out our Clearance rack as at the point of writing this post we still have the Texture Boutique Embossing machine at half price!!  BARGAIN!!  Don’t forget to use the current hostess code to receive a free gift in the post from me.

Until the next time, happy crafting,

Eimear
