More team swaps…

By | October 3, 2014

There has been so much exciting news from Stampin’ Up this month, that it’s taken me a while to get round to showing you the last of my team swaps.

When we swap, we don’t always swap a full card, we just swap the card front or even just an element of the card. With this card, my downline, Caroline Thomas swapped a card front with us.

September 2014 Team Swap

You can see here how Caroline added her card front to a full size card. Now, we normally only swap cards using current stock, and the ‘ Merry’ comes from a retired product. However, Caroline is very cleverly highlighting a bargain product as this item is available on our clearance rack at almost half price. There are three dies in the pack, with the words, Merry, Thankful and Love. You can see them here.

I loved Caroline’s swap and thought I would use it to make something other than a card.  So I added another layer of Smoky Slate and decorated a Gift Bag.  How nice would that be to give to someone with the matching card?

Now, don’t look too closely at the card front on my bag, as I’m afraid Caro’s swap got up close and personal with my Tombow glue. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice in time and I had to prise them apart! Sorry, Caro!  If you would like to see more of Caro’s work, pop over to her blog and say Hello, you can find her here.

As always, here is a list of everything used in the swap – please note this table lists the Expression Thinlit Dies at their original catalogue price but they are currently £13. on our Clearance Rack.

I hope these projects have given you more ideas and inspiration for your Christmas cardmaking and crafting.  Don’t forget to leave a comment and let us know what you think.
until next time, happy crafting,
Eimear
