Joyous Noel is my Favourite of the Season

By | October 27, 2018

Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Favourite of the Season’. My fellow Stampin’ Creative teamie Caro and I ran a Retreat Day last Sunday and the contents of our goody bag was all based around the Joyous Noel suite.  We created 10 different projects between us for our goody bag so after working with this bundle for a little while, it soon became my favourite of the season. Before I show you a couple of my projects, I want to welcome our guest hopper today, the lovely Elizabeth Price from Seeing Ink Spots and the Stampin’ Up! Artisan team – no doubt you will be wowed by her fab creations. We also have the lovely Deborah Carder from right here in the UK, you are going to love her projects too. So back to today’s projects. The first one uses just the stamp set, Peaceful Noel, together with the gorgeous Merry Merlot and Copper ribbon. Tips and Tricks for my Peaceful Noel Christmas Card

  • Take a standard A4 tent fold card base in Tranquil Tide.  Cut off a portion at 9cm.
  • Rotate this piece 90 degrees and adhere back to the original card.
  • Stamp greenery and berries of your choice around the edges of the front Whisper White layer and the inner Whisper White insert. I’ve used the DSP as my inspiration for my colour choices, and used Tranquil Tide, Merry Merlot and Sahara Sand.
  • Use the Oval Stitched Framelits to cut out a stamped Noel and it’s dotty decorative line. Pop up on dimensionals
  • Finally tie a bow around the Tranquil Tide base.

We used just Tranquil Tide card stock, Tranquil Tide glimmer and Copper glimmer together with the sprig punch to create this very simple wreath.  Simply tie a bow off to the side and thread some Linen Thread into a loop at the top and you have a very simple yet stunning piece of home decor ready for Christmas. I do hope you enjoyed this month’s projects.  If you want some more information on our retreat then read on below.  In the meantime, hop on to our next Stampin’ Creative member who will have another amazing project lined up for you. We hope our projects inspire you to get stuck in to your Christmas crafting.

Our next retreat is February 2nd and 3rd at The Bull Hotel Fairford, so do save the date if you would are interested in coming along.  And if you would like to have our Retreat in a Box for last Sundays projects then do have a look here. Finally, here is a list of all the products you will need to recreate today’s projects – the wreath is 6 inches and I purchased it from Amazon. Don’t forget to use the current Rainbow Rewards Shopping Code (pictured below) at checkout when making a purchase to receive a free gift in the post from me.
