Stampin’ Up! Pick a Pattern Scrapbook Page

By | January 14, 2018

I have been a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator for almost 5 years now and I have never made a traditional scrapbook page… until now! I love Memories and More and am more of a pocket scrapbooker but my friend Vic, set me a challenge to complete a traditional scrapbook page… and I did it.  I piked a DSP and stamp set that I felt complimented my photos and my Pick a Pattern scrapbook page was born.

The fact that the photo features someone who is so stinking’ cute helps, however I am really pleased with how my first EVER scrapbook page turned out.  We followed a scrapbook page that my friend had found on Pinterest and went from there.

This particular photo was taken by the very talented Heidi from Northern Angel Photography on a surprise photo shoot I had done for my husband’s birthday last summer. That led me to fussy cut the camera from the Pick a Pattern DSP and the page evolved from there..

Tips and Tricks for my Pick a Pattern scrapbook page

  • If you’re totally new to scrapbooking, I would also suggest following a sketch like I did.
  • Pick out some of the colours in your photo that you want to highlight  – my photo’s natural background was perfect for the Crushed Curry in Pieces and Patterns
  • Experiment with patterns and textures – after all, these are your memories you are preserving so have fun with it!

Here are the products I used to create this page.  Don’t forget, we are in the middle of our Sale-a-bration promotion so any purchase of £45 or more will earn you a free product from the SAB catalogue. You can read all about our fabulous promo here.
