Spring Spectacular – 3D Spring and Easter Projects

By | March 21, 2016

I held my Spring Spectacular Crafternoon on Saturday.  On days like these, I try to include projects that are a little different to my regular classes or a little more involved as we have more time to play.  So here are a couple of them…

Firstly a Spring Floral Pot, inspired by a little pot featured in Stampin’ Up’s Spring Summer catalogue.  I chose to use Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Whisper White and have used a Vintage Faceted Button in the centre of my middle flower.

It was quite an easy project, the most difficult thing was choosing the colours to use as the ladies received the full subtles cardstock range in their goody bag.  The flowers are die-cut using the Botanicals framelits and hot-glued to floristry wire. I’ve used our Whisper White satin ribbon to encircle my pot and finished it off with a bow.

We also made an Easter wreath that was a prefect size to place a pillar candle – my ladies also got these supplies in their goody bags.  Here I just used So Saffron and Whisper White, with leaves in Pear Pizzazz and Wild Wasabi but my ladies chose many of the other colours in our Subtles collection and the results were beautiful.

I stamped the leaf veins on the leaves with the matching stamp sets just to make them a little more realistic and I have wrapped some of the fabulous White Jute ribbon around the wreath.  We also used some Subtles candy dots and rhinestones to decorate the centre of the flowers.

Do come back later in the week and I’ll show you the cards that we made – can’t have a Crafternoon without cards!
