Sprinkles of Life for PPA257 and Fab Friday 67

By | June 28, 2015

It’s challenge time again for me and this week, I have combined two challenges again.  I’ve used the new 2015-2017 in-colours suggested by Fab Friday combined with the sketch challenge over at Pals Paper Arts.

And here is what I came up with.
SprinklesofLifechallenge-001

I’ve used one of my current favourite sets (one of many, I hasten to add!!)- Sprinkles of Life – together with its co-ordinating Tree Builder Punch.  Doesn’t adding extra foliage totally change the tree?  I’ve only used one up until now, but two just makes for a great tree!

My base is Cucumber Crush with a layer of Whisper White embossed with the Polka Dot Folder.  This folder is relatively new to my collection and I love it, not sure what took me so long to get it!

My apples are Mint Macaroon sponged in Watermelon Wonder sitting on a Tip Top Taupe basket.

My diagonal banner is made using the Watermelon Wonder Envelope paper – not just for envelopes!!  My fingers are crossed that our seasonal catalogue will carry a few more colours and patterns as I am loving this paper.

I hope you like my card today, do leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts as I would love to hear from you.

Here is a list of everything I used to make the card. If you would like to order any of the products used in today’s card, just click on the item and it will bring you straight to that item in my online shop.

If you would like to save on your crafty purchases, there are just two days left of our fabulous offer – £99 for £129 worth of Stampin’ Up products plus TWO FREE stamp sets of any value.  Read more about it here, but don’t delay, this offer ends on Tuesday. Contact me if you have any questions.

That little basket of apples is so sweet! The sponging on the apples really adds a lot. And what a great way to add a smaller sentiment so it doesn’t get lost! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!

Thank you Amanda, I must admit, I played about with the placement of the sentiment for a while before deciding that was the best place. Glad you like it

What lovely work! Don’t you love it when a color and sketch challenge come together? It’s all just beautiful, but I must say that those apples are BRILLIANT! Who would of thought to sponge Watermelon Wonder on Mint Macaron to bring those lovelies to life? Thanks for playing with Pals Paper Arts this week!

Thanks Nicole, to be totally honest, I wasn’t sure if Mint Macaron was the ‘right’ green but am pleased with the overall result

This is cute beyond measure, Eimar! I have not seen this image turned into a basket of apples, and I LOVE IT! What a great way to use the sketch from PPA and the colors from FabFriday. Thanks for playing along with this week’s PPA sketch challenge and this fun color challenge at FabFriday!

Not totally sure of my Mint Macaron – I originally thought I had to use all 5 colours and was trying to find a way of incorporating it!!! It was a fun sketch though and I’m loving the new in-colours!

Fab, fresh looking card Mikaela. My favourite part? The apples! I love them toppling over the edge of the basket!
