Stampin’ Creative March Blog Hop – It’s a Layout

Blog Hop Buttons-001

You may have arrived from the lovely Lesley or this may be your first stop on this months’ Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop, either way you are very welcome.

It has been a difficult few weeks in our house as one by one, my four children have all fallen victim to chicken pox but luckily they are all starting to feel better otherwise it would have been a pretty miserable Easter!

On to our project for this hop.  The lovely Pip at Queen Pip Cards challenged us to a sketch this month.  I wanted to challenge myself to a scrapbook page as it’s not something I do very often.  If you’re a seasoned scrapper, go easy on me! Here is our challenge sketch.

And here is my page.

SCBH Love Story 4-001

I’ve used Project Life Love Story cards and accessories and the Bloomin’ Heart Thinlit Dies to decorate my page.

I also wanted to show you a traditional Project Life page that will be the next page in my album.  It is such an easy system to use and you can mix and match 12 x 12 scrapbook pages with Project Life pocket pages to create a fabulous album if you wish.  In fact, if you are a traditional scrapbooker, it’s a great way to catch up or to use more photos in a layout so you don’t have to make that awful choice of which photos to leave out!

Personally, I’m a big fan of Project Life for the sheer speed that you can create an album.

I don’t use a huge amount of embellishments but everyone has their own style and anything goes.

If you would like to get started on your own memory journey we have a great selection of products available and one of our free SAB products is a mini card collection to coordinate with our Memories in the Making card collection – but hurry, the last day to avail of all the fabulous SAB offers is March 31st.

I have used two of the FREE SAB acetate cards on my PL layout today so they are pretty versatile to match with any collection. I’ve used the dotted silver one over the black ‘love’ card and the silver frame style over the photo of my daughter, the flower girl.

I would encourage you to print out some photos and make an album – these are our memories and they need to be preserved where we can look back over them – it’s rare for a family to gather round the PC and remember good times?

Here are the products I’ve used in both layouts today – remember a £45 purchase will earn you a free SAB item and this is cumulative so a £90 purchase will earn you two etc

However if your wish list is nearing that figure, do consider joining our fantastic crafting group, the Aces and Diamonds. For £99 you can select £160 worth of Stampin’ Up products and join a fabulous group of crafters.  Read more about everything that Sale-a-bration could offer you here. Hurry Sale-a-bration ends on March 31st.
