Welcome to September’s Blog Hop with the Stampin’ Creative Crew, you may have arrived from Gina or this may be your first stop today, either way, you are very welcome.

Our theme this month is Trick or Treat and you may see various interpretations of this theme whether it be a Hallowe’en project, a fancy trick or a way of packaging up a treat – really anything goes where Trick or Treating is concerned for us Stampin’ Creative ladies!

Whilst my family and I do get involved in the Hallowe’en spirit, we tend to limit the decorations to carving pumpkins so I steered my creations this month towards November 5th and Fireworks and Bonfires.

We have a fabulous set in the Seasonal Catalogue called It’s a Celebration and while it makes you think of New Year due to the Happy New Year sentiment included, it made me think of any occasion where there are Fireworks and of course Remember Remember the 5th of November!

I just had to use our Copper Embossing Powder as the colour is so vibrant and Autumnal and also reminds me of the Bonfire Flames – setting it against the Night of Navy sky looked perfect.  I also included some Silver Fireworks and a few little rhinestones – I wasn’t sure initially if the two metallic shades would look good together but I think they work really well.

Of course, you need a little sweet treat when watching the Fireworks and a toffee apple is the perfect seasonal treat for Bonfire Night – however, a little packaging Stampin’ Up style was in order – so I made a matching gift tag and bag for my apple.   I ran a glassine gift bag through the big shot with the gorgeous Cable Knit embossing folder – so much nicer than the shop cellophane don’t you agree?
