Stampin’ Up Cheerful Christmas Case

By | November 29, 2014

I love looking at other people’s designs for ideas and inspiration and I saw this lovely card on Debbie Henderson’s blog (an SU demo from the US) a little while ago, which I thought would showcase a lovely technique for my Technique Tuesday class.  You can see Debbie’s card here – she even has instructions on how to create the card.

I decided to change it up a little bit, firstly with the colours I used and then moving the design around a little bit for my silver version.  I was really pleased with the card – and as it uses the Label Framelits, I’m going to try a Birthday version with Memorable Moments as we have a family Birthday coming up this weekend – so will post the results of that soon.

Firstly, here is my version using Lost Lagoon and All is Calm Designer Series paper.

I sponged all the edges with Pool Party just to give them a little extra definition.

Next, here is my Silver version. This time I sponged with Encore silver metallic ink and added a few more ornaments – anything for more sparkle! – did I mention the rhinestones and silver ribbon 🙂

They were quite quick to create – just depends how much you decide to decorate. I hope you like them. As always here is as list of everything you will need to recreate the cards:

If you have any questions on the technique, please get in touch, and don’t forget our super offer, it only lasts until December 2nd. Read all about it here

Until next time, happy crafting,

Eimear

Love your directions for your projects. Photos of laid out necessities much easier to relate to than Typed up long list. Great work.
