Stampin’ Up Little Buddy Valentine for PPA 238

PPA238

This week in the PPA Challenge, we are asked to design a card using the above three colours.
I decided to ink up Little Buddy Birthday and make a cute little Valentine, suitable for the young and young at heart.

I used the Mirror Technique to create two dinosaurs holding some love heart ballooons.  It’s quite an easy technique and can be used for a whole variety of stamps.  I stamped the little dinosaur on a piece of window sheet, flipped the window sheet over and rolled over the image with my brayer.  This created a mirror image of my little dinosaur.

I did the same with the balloon strings but wasn’t entirely happy with them, but as the saying goes ‘there is no such thing as a mistake only an opportunity for embellishment’!  I carefully dotted some Tombow glue over the balloon strings and then added some bakers twine.

I’ve used the little hearts from Hello Life to decorate my side panel and Happy Heart embossing folder for my Rose Red back panel.

I’m having some computer issues so am unable to provide my usual list of supplies.  I didn’t even get to put my watermark on the photo before my lap-top died – courtesy of some little people!!

I do hope you like this challenge card, do leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.

until next time, happy crafting,

Eimear

This is simply adorable! This brought a huge smile to my face and I love the way you used the bakers twine to connect these two adorable little guys. Isn’t that heart embossing folder just beautiful? Many thanks for sharing your time and talent with the PPA color challenge this week

Thanks Susan, funny how sometimes good ideas, like the twine, stem from mistakes!
Love that embossing folder too both the right way round and the ‘wrong’ way round too!
