Birthday Boy Skateboard Card – FREE SAB paper

Don’t you feel that everything stamps better when it’s FREE, same with Designer Series Paper – you just craft better when it’s FREE!! The Bubbles and Fizz FREE Sale-a-bration paper is no exception and makes wonderful cards – even a Birthday Boy card – not a beer bottle in sight! The recipient of my card was my second child who turned 8 today.  He had asked for a skateboard for… Read More »

Crafting with Children – Thank you from the Little Ones

You may have seen my recent post where I showed you a gorgeous Thank you card using Sprinkles of Life and the co-ordinating Tree Builder Punch. Today, I wanted to show you my ‘Crafting with Children’ endeavours where, together with my children, we made a batch of Thank you. These were to thank friends and family for all the Christmas gifts showered upon my children this season. Each child wanted… Read More »

In the City is Perfect for a Christening card

I saw the most beautiful Christening card by my fellow Stampin’ Creative teamie Mikaela Titheridge (The Crafty Oink Pen) and I just had to case it. You can see her original card here, isn’t it absolutely beautiful?  I needed a Christening card today and with Mikaela’a permission I made a boy version with In the City. Mikaela used the gorgeous Hometown Greetings edgelit dies but I’ve used the church from In… Read More »

Pick a Pattern Kid’s birthday cards for #GDP095

This week’s challenge at the Global Design Project is based around the theme of Kids! Having four of the little monkeys myself, I find myself making kid’s birthday cards pretty often as not a month goes by without two or three party invitations coming in.  In fact, my son is attending one this weekend and one next weekend. Never one to make extra work for myself, I thought I would… Read More »

Having fun with Embossing Paste for #GDP090

The sketch for this week’s Global Design Project is a layout I love and use often in my own crafting –  and I couldn’t resist trying out our new Embossing Paste. Here is this week’s layout sketch by guest designer Stesha Bloodhart   and here is what I came up with… It is the first time I’ve tried our new embossing paste and I really liked the results. It is so easy… Read More »

Birthday Boy is 7!

I do love family birthdays but there is always a little part of me that is a bit sad that my boy is growing up!  He just turned 7 and of course we had our usual family creative time where I helped his sisters to make him some birthday cards! I am particularly proud of my daughter’s card – all her own idea – based on the Mario brothers.  The… Read More »

Birthday card for Football Fans

I wanted to show you a very quick card I made for my son’s friend.  He turned 6 recently and is a big Liverpool Football fan.  For those of you who don’t know they play in red, so I rustled up a quick card using the Baby First framelit dies – not just for babies!  To turn the babygrow into a shirt, I just sliced off the leg portion in… Read More »

Happy Birthday Finn with Punch Art George!

Today was a very important day in our house as my baby boy celebrated his first birthday, so I thought I would showyou his birthday cards,. With three older siblings, he doesn’t get much choice in what goes on the TV but as his older sister likes Peppa Pig, that’s pretty much what he watches.  I thought he might recognise George so I set about making a card with George… Read More »

Going Global Baby card for GDP#022

This week at the Global Design Project, it’s a sketch challenge.  Sketch challenges are my favourite as an idea seems to pop into my head with much more speed than when I see colours in a colour challenge… I normally make pretty much the exactmidea that pops into my head, but this time, my idea evolved a few times before the final card was completed.  A little bit of me… Read More »

Stampin’ with the Kids

I love sharing Stampin’ Up with everyone and that includes my children so when there is a family birthday, I love getting the kids in the craft room to make cards for the birthday boy or girl.  We have quite a few Birthdays in January with my Mum and two of my children, so I thought I would share just a few of the projects we made. First of all… Read More »

Baby Smooshes for #GDP005

Here is this week’s challenge: And here is my card complete with smooshing… I’ve used the three challenge colours to smoosh with and heat embossed elements from Sweet Lil’ Things in white on Soft… Read More »

Wonderland in Tip Top Taupe and Night of Navy

Last Saturday, I held a great Buy One Get One Free sale here at my craft room.  But of course, we had to make a few cards and here is one of the cards we made. I’ve used a base of Tip Top Taupe and stamped in Night of Navy. I also highlighted the branches with my White Gel Pen and added some Dazzling Diamonds for a bit of sparkle. I… Read More »

Stampin’ Up Little Buddy Valentine for PPA 238

This week in the PPA Challenge, we are asked to design a card using the above three colours. I decided to ink up Little Buddy Birthday and make a cute little Valentine, suitable for the young and young at heart. I used the Mirror Technique to create two dinosaurs holding some love heart ballooons.  It’s quite an easy technique and can be used for a whole variety of stamps.  I stamped… Read More »

Stampin’ Up Punch Art for Birthday Cards

It was my eldest daughter’s birthday yesterday and she had requested a Cat Birthday card!  (we’re currently going through a cat obsession!!).  I don’t have any cat stamps so I decided to pull out my punches and create a little punch art. I had to have a quick glance at Pinterest for a little inspiration for my perfect cat, and then had a look round my stash for the perfect… Read More »

Stampin’ Up – Spiderman Punch Art

It’s a big day in our house today as my little boy turns 5! He quite likes Superheroes and Spiderman is probably his favourite, so I thought I would dust off my punches and make a Punch Art Spiderman. I had a quick look at Pinterest and Google for some inspiration, but I had to improvise as some of the punches used in other people’s cards were either retired or… Read More »
