Technique Tuesday – Seasonal Decorative Masks Part One

By | November 12, 2016

Every month, I run a technique class.  We make two or three cards that are more intricate than normal or use a particular technique.  This month, I decoded to focus on another hidden gem in the Autumn Winter catalogue – the Seasonal Decorative Masks – and I showed my ladies, three different ways to use the masks

Firstly using inks and sponges – here is the first card we made.

Here’s how we made it…

  1.  Tape down your mask with washi over Whisper white – I’ve used the Spots for this card.  Sponge three coordinating colours  – I chose Soft Sky, Pool Party and Marina Mist.  Remove mask and admire the beauty.
  2. Stamp the snowflakes from Flurry of Wishes in Versamark and heat emboss with Silver Embossing powder, then punch out with the coordinating punch.
  3. Punch the sentiment in Marina Mist and die-cut with the Layering Circles framelits, and then die-cut a scalloped circle in Silver Foil with the same framelits.

Using different colours and a different sentiment would totally change this card and make it prefect for any occasion or any season.

Pop back on Monday to see the next card from my Technique Tuesday and if you’re commutable to Swindon, why not pop along to December’s Technique Tuesday December 6th.

In the meantime, if you would like to purchase any of the products I’ve used today, here is the full list (this will be added very soon – slight technical issue!!) Don’t forget to use the current Rainbow Rewards code on your order to receive a free gift in the post from me.  The current  code is 4BR6WCVW
