Blog Hop Buttons-001

And another month is over… 2016 is almost upon is – how can that be?!

Our theme this month is Fancy Folds and I have a couple of Bendy cards for you this month.

Firstly seeing it is Halloween today, I have a spooky one for you.

My card opens up to reveal a wicked sunset! I’ve sponged the sunset background in Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo and finally Rich Razzleberry, masking off a moon and sponging over it too in Crushed Curry.  My spooky bird and branch come from Among the Branches and the greeting from the Hostess set Six Sayings.

I’ve used our black glimmer paper and the Sleigh Ride Edgelits to create my bendy card front.  Most bendy cards I’ve seen have the larger inner flap secured to the back panel, (like the next card) however, I liked this card without doing that and I also didn’t want to spoil my sponging.

I’ve used the some of the same products to produce a Christmas card with, what I hope, is a totally different feel.

This time I’ve used a Night of Navy card base and sponged a sunrise in Blushing Bride, So Saffron, Soft Sky, Marina Mist and Night of Navy.  I’ve used Among the Branches embossed in Silver together with the ornaments and snowflakes.

The holly springs are from the Oh What Fun tag set and these were mainly to hide the slit in my card where I attached the outer panel.

I’ve also added a little bit of Dazzling Diamonds with the 2-way glue pen to my trees and houses before finally embossing the greeting in silver from Jingle all the Way.

If you would like to purchase any of the products used in today’s projects, then you can find a list below. Clicking any of the items will bring you straight to my online shop.  Do use the current hostess code of BACEQZ49 to receive a free gift in the post from me.

You may have noticed that my photos were taken in different lights -in fact they were taken on different days! There was a short break in the wind and the rain allowing me to take the photo of the Christmas card – but as you can see from a couple of rain drops on my card – it was a close call before the rain started again!!

Until next time, happy crafting,

Eimear

I love these, Eimear and the Halloween card is my absolute favorite. I love everything about it! And the black glimmer paper comes into its own. I am in love with the bendy cards and can’t wait to have a go!

It’s my favourite too! The Christmas one was my first idea and only decided to make the second one as an after thought it was Halloween today and just to show the set is not just for Christmas!

Great minds! Love your versions though – both are equally beautiful – can’t decide which one is my favourite!

Almost like choosing between your own children, but like I said to Mikaela, think it’s Halloween for me, even though it wasn’t the planned card!!
