Celebrate Today for CC&S

By | May 12, 2016

I must admit Caro’s challenge this week had me stumped.  I had an idea in my head when I saw it but it didn’t work out when I created my prototype and it was back to the drawing board.  Usually, a tweak here and there sorts it for me, but this time I had to think up a totally new card.  Here is the sketch we are working on

CASsketch 173

and here is what I came up with.
Stampin Up Celebrate Today for CAS May 2-001

I’ve kept pretty much to the sketch – which I must admit is unusual for me!

I used the It’s my Party DSP stack from the Spring Summer catalogue, which, like all our DSPs, will not carry over into our new Annual catalogue.  So, if you like it, there are only a few days left to purchase it.

I used the ‘Celebrate’ from Celebrate Today and a few enamel dots to coordinate with the DSP.

Clean and simple as requested!

As always here is a link to all the products used in the card today.  I’ve included a link to the trimmer as it is the best trimmer I’ve owned and perfect for cutting through DSP especially when you want an unusal cut like here when cutting at an angle.

I hope you like my card today and that it’s given you some inspiration for your own projects.  Why don’t you play along?

until next time, happy crafting,

Eimear

I have to agree with the other comments – the contrast of the white and black backgrounds of the designer papers is terrific! It’s great to have you as our guest designer this month at CC&S!

Love your choice of DSP, and as Liz said, that you used the same pattern – clever! Gorgeous colours and as I mentioned to you, the sentiment is gorgeous! Really fun and suits your gorgeous CAS card perfectly. Caro x

This is a really fun card – love that you used the same pattern in two colours for your stripes. I’m so glad that you’re the guest designer this month! Liz x

Loving the look of those two patterned papers together – sort of ying and yang. And the hot pink border and dots just finish it off a treat.
