Something for Baby for PPA Challenge 245

By | March 31, 2015

Edited to add, my card was picked in the top three in this week’s challenge, 🙂

I haven’t taken part in a challenge for a few weeks, life has just got in the way – ever find that?!

But I’ve just managed to sneak this entry in at the last minute so hope you like it.

Our challenge this week was to follow this great sketch challenge from Nicole Watt.

PPA245

and here is the card I came up with…
Stampin' Up Something for Baby for PPA 245-001

I’ve used a card base of Pistachio Pudding and a layer of Crisp Cantaloupe in between my Whisper White. I’ve cut both these layers with the Large Scallop Edgelit die.  I’ve used a stamp from the Baby We’ve Grown set in Baked Brown Sugar and I’ve then swapped over to the Something for Baby set.  I’ve also got the matching Baby First framelits and as I haven’t used them in so long, I didn’t actually realise that every single stamp in the set has a corresponding framelit – I really thought I would have to fussy cut the bootees.  So this card took me half the time I thought it would!!  Might I add that you can purchase these two items together in a bundle saving you 15%!!

The sweet little heart button comes from the Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons set and I’ve used some Calypso Coral Chevron ribbon tied with our thick Bakers twine as a little embellishment. I hope this card has provided you with some ideas and inspiration for your own cardmaking projects.  You could use this sketch as a starting point for your next card.

I’m looking forward to getting on board with the next challenge, you can see what everyone else came up with at the PPA challenge site.

Until next time, happy crafting

This is such a sweet card and a great use of the sketch. You’ve also reminded me to get out that stamp set and Framelits. Well done Eimear.
