Watercolour words with Gorgeous Grunge for Simply Less is More

By | July 11, 2015

Time for a challenge, I thought.  I saw a challenge which really is a challenge for me on Simply Less is More.  One layer and Male – that is probably the toughest challenge of them all for me.  One layer is tough enough, and male can be difficult, but combined?!

This is what I came up with

Stampin Up Watercolor Words Brick Wall-001

I was inspired by the name badge of one of my Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop team mates for our Regional Training Event back in May. Lesley, whose blog is here, had used some of our now-retired DSP to create a graffiti style name tag. This must have been in my head when I was creating this.

I took a card base of Sahara Sand and stamped Watercolor Words and Gorgeous Grunge in versamark and heat embossed in White. I then using the Brick Wall embossing folder and sponged over in Cajun Craze. I used a kitchen towel to polish up my embossed images and that was it.

You know I could get used to this one layer card thing – card completed in about 5 minutes flat!!

Here is everything I used to make – do leave a comment as I’d love to hear your thoughts and where you’re from.

Until next time, happy crafting

So true, Maaike, I was so out of my comfort zone with ‘one layer’ and ‘male’ combined!

Thanks, Lindsey, I never saw it as ‘graffiti’ writing, but now it’s on the wall, it’s such a perfect print for graffiti!
