Every month, my team, the Aces and Diamonds, and I get together for our meeting filled crafty inspiration and our obligatory cheeseboard (sometimes we swap it for cake, but cheese seems customary now!).
We swap cards, do some make and takes and I set them home with a challenge to create something from a given set of supplies. Being ill last week meant my own entry was a little late and I was about to challenge myself to the latest sketch challenge over at the Global Design Project when I came upon the supplies for my own team challenge and thought about combining the two.
The eagle-eyed ladies in my team may notice that one pattern is missing on the card, but I can assure you there is a little strip of it on the inside of the card!
Here was the challenge this week by GDP
And my own challenge was to use 3 given patterns of the Wonderland Speciality DSP and NOT create a Christmas card with them. I thought this would highlight how this DSP can carry through after Christmas if you didn’t manage to use it all in your Christmas crafting (as if??). Without further ado, here is my entry…
I don’t normally make such a dramatically dark card but I was strangely drawn to this pattern out of the six that were on offer in my challenge pack. I hope you like today’s card, do leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts, and I will leave you with everything I used to make it.
The sentiment comes from a brand new set, Suite Sayings, which will only be available in our brand new Spring Summer catalogue on January 5th so I can’t list the item number for that one yet, but stay tuned…

Thanks Jess! It’s a great paper, suitable for lots of different occasions, just depends on the context it’s used and it takes on another life completely!
