This week at The Global Design Project we have a sketch to follow. If I’m honest, I’d say I use variations of this particular layout for about half the cards I make. This time I tried to make something a little different to what I would normally make. I think I’ve achieved that by breaking into my brand new FREE Sale-a bration set, All Adorned.
I’ve kept a pretty monotone palette with just a hint of Flirty Flamingo peeking around the edges.
Tips and Tricks for my All Adorned Vintage Card
- I used a sponge to add Crumb Cake ink around the edges of my card base and even more on the top layer.
- The two elements were stamped one on top of the other in Soft Suede – a colour I rarely use but perfect for this project.
- Finally in homage to my sister, I stamped the ‘Miss You’ in Flirty Flamingo and added Clear Embossing powder. My sister, a first time crafter at my recent retreat, discovered embossing and absolutely loved the effect – she was adding clear embossing powder to everything!! She was right though, it does add a little wow factor to every project.
- The sentiment was stamped on vellum but added to a strip of Crumb Cake so I could mount it on dimensionals
