It’s Mother’s Day here in the UK on Sunday so, of course, I had to make my own amazing mother a special card. I wanted to use the Celebrate You Thinlits which are FREE with a £90 purchase until the end of this month. This set is so versatile with three really useful words; You, Celebrate and Amazing in three different fonts. Here, I’ve used the Celebrate You Thinlits to describe my own Mum who is simply amazing.
My card seem to fit in perfectly with this week’s Global Design Project where we are case’ing the wonderful Steffi Helmschrott from Germany.

Tips and Tricks for my Mothers Day Card using Celebrate You Thinlits
- I first cut the three letters of MUM from the Whisper White top layer
- I then sponged Island Indigo and Lemon Lime Twist on this layer
- On a separate piece of Whisper White, I stamped the flowers from Hold on to Hope in Versamark and embossed in white, then sponged in Island Indigo
- I cut the letters MUM out of the embossed and sponged piece.
- The ‘You are simply’ was embossed in silver and the letters were laid on a piece of silver foil under the Whisper White layer. It adds a lovely shimmer that you can just about see in the photo.
- A final embellishment was added with the Lemon Lime Twist 1/2 inch ribbon
