I think I’m safe enough to post here as don’t think my parents will see this but it is their Wedding Anniversary today and we had to make a last-minute card! Do you ever find that as a crafter, that the birthdays and important dates for your nearest and dearest sneak up on you and before you know it, it’s a mad rush to get the card in the post!!
Yes, that was me! You may have seen my blog hop post on Saturday where our theme was Cas(e)ing the Catty – if you didn’t you can see it here. So as time was of the essence, I decided to case my own case!
My daughter wanted to make a card too – she’s 7 and used the retired Painted Petals set. She applied the colours with markers but think she may have gone over the flowers with different colours, hence the unusual shade she has ended up with!! But I’m very proud of her efforts – all her own work – as I’m sure Granny and Granda will be too :-). I’m particularly proud of the sentiment that she refused to wait for help or even use the stamp-a-ma-jig for! No way would I have managed to get it that straight!
And here is the happy couple, 52 years together, Happy Anniversary Mum and Dad!! x
until next time, happy crafting,
Eimear
