Welcome to the penultimate Stampin Creative Blog Hop of 2019 – wow where did that year go? and how many times do you think you’l hear that phrase in the next 30 or so days, lol?! Today, our Stampin’ Creative theme is Deck the Halls and I’ve taken this theme to heart and created some quick and easy Wrapped in Plaid Home Decor pieces perfect for your Christmas table.
Tips and Tricks for my Wrapped in Plaid Candle Decoration
- I used some green glass beads and sea glass that we’c collected over the summer to fill the bottom of the glass and raise the candle slightly
- Our Wrapped in Plaid DSP only measures 6 inches so I cut 3 x 2 inch strips and joined them together – it’s quite easy to match up the pattern with this design
- I then wrapped some Crumb Cake Natures Twine around the DSP and attached some Jingle Bells before tying a bow.
- I intended to grab some greenery from the garden but it was pouring with rain so I thought – what am I thinking?! We have the perfect sprig punch – the sprigs will colour co-ordinate perfectly and will not wet my DSP with raindrops! I just love the Sprig punch and have created some fab Christmas projects with it including this one – it’s the perfect addition to your Christmas crafting arsenal.
I created another project to tie in with my candle. A similar 2 inch strip of DSP was wrapped around my napkin and decorated in the same way as the candle. Picture your whole Christmas table decorated with these candles and each place setting having these beautiful napkin rings – are you feeling Christmassy yet?!
You could make a similar project with the fabulous Feels like Frost DSP in hues of silver – do let me know if you give it a try.
Do hop on to the next Stampin’ Creative crew member who will undoubtedly have a fantastic decorative project for you and do leave a comment below if you have time. we do so love to hear from you.
To follow is a list of the products I used in today’s projects. I would definitely slip the sprig punch into your shopping cart if you don’t already own one.
