Ive joined up with some other demonstrators from all around the world in a special Blog Highlight organised by Kylie Bertucci Down Under in Australia – many thanks for organising it all Kylie.
I thought I would show you a little project featuring a stamp called Easter Lamb – who is not just for Easter.
The words ‘Happy Easter’ are included as part of the image but with a clever snip you can attach those words to another block or to the side of your wooden block so you can have the image without the words.
My card is showcasing the Reflection technique which is really easy to do and if you have the Periscope app – tune in tonight (Friday) at 8pm GMT and I’ll show you how.
All you need is a piece of acetate window sheet that you stamp on – turn it over and rub your image on the cardstock, you will get the mirror image.
I’ve used the Alphabet Rotary stamp for my sentiment – it’s a fabulous tool for personalising any project.
I made this card for my daughter as she has loved this stamp since she first spotted it in the Spring Summer catalogue. We have had a difficult week with my son getting a nasty bout of chicken pox. He’s obviously off school and my daughter – who just turned 8 – has been a great help around the house. Unforunately, we are going to miss her school assembly on Friday as my son will still be quarantined so I hope this card cheers her up a bit.
Check out the inside, how could this cute little face not cheer you up?!
Excuse my photographs, I had hoped the sun might make an appearance to give the illusion of spring, but alas no, I had to make a mad dash to photograph my project before the rain set in!
I do hope you enjoyed today’s project and if you are on Periscope, join me at 8pm to see how I made it.
You can see all the other entrants on Kylie’s blog and you can even vote for your top 5. Here’s hoping I’m in your top 5 😉
Until next time, happy crafting,
Eimear
