This week’s challenge at the Global Design Project is a colour challenge and I’ve used one of my favourite sets, Happy Birthday Gorgeous. It is such a fun set and I’m sure you will agree that this card is poles apart from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous card I showed you last week. The versatility of this set holds no bounds!
Here are the colours we are asked to use this week
I knew exactly what I wanted to make and rushed over to my craft room to may it. In fact, I used the design and the card for my team swap. I was very chuffed at being so industrious and was just about to write my post and upload the card when I realised I hadn’t used Wild Wasabi !! Epic Fail!!!
So I remade the card, using Wild Wasabi and here it is.
And a better view of the raised portion…
Tip and Trick for today’s Happy Birthday Gorgeous card:
- Stamp the larger images first and fill in the spaces with the smaller images
- To achieve different colours while still only using 2 ink pads, stamp off excess colour on scrap paper first. This will give you a much lighter shade.
- If for any reason you have any smudges, -not that YOU would – use the solid leaves to cover them!
I have a video to show you how easy it is to recreate this card – enjoy!
Don’t forget there are only a few days to earn Bonus Days vouchers and to bag yourself an early Christmas crafty gift from Stampin’ Up! worth £65 by joining my team of Aces and Diamonds. You can read more about that here
