We recently celebrated a milestone birthday in our family, so it was time to make a very special Birthday card. It took a brave cut of the Broadway Bound DSP – this number page is my favourite! I made an extra large Birthday card so all the family could sign it. Sometimes I find it easier to cut the DSP when it’s for a larger project – do you find that, or am I just a little strange?!
Tips and Tricks for my Happy Birthday Broadway Bound card
- I used a full A4 sheet in book fold.
- As I love my layers, I needed a layer of Whisper White under my DSP. I also feel this makes a card look more special.
- my beloved Stitched Shaped Framelits took centre stage together with the Layering Circles.
- I covered my Happy Birthday die cut in versmark and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. This was a tip my downline, Abigail, shared with her make and take at our recent team meeting. There might be an extra little sparkle there from some stray Dazling Diamonds that were on my desk. Not planned, but I like it!
- Finally a little swirl of the glitter ribbon from the Autumn Winter catalogue – not just for Halloween as you can see!
I hope you like today’s card – makes a change from all the Christmas crafting around. You can purchase any of these products by clicking directly on the product image.
