I had the incentive I needed to get back on track with my memory-keeping this week thanks to the Global Deisgn Project. Our challenge is to use Project Life by Stampin’ Up to create something whether it be a traditional scrapbook layout, a PL page or a card – I chose a PL layout.
I used the Happy Times kit to document a family trip last summer where we camped in a teepee and had great access to water sports. We had such a great time and this kit is just perfect for documenting fun family trips like this or even just everyday moments together.
Here is my opening page
and the second page – apologies for the card that moved – I only noticed it now that I am blogging!
I used a trick I learnt on a recent video by Bruno Bertucci of using a little piece of vellum over a photo that has empty space. The vellum is perfect to add interest to an area that you may not necessarily want to chop off – loved that idea Bruno!
Here is embellished an existing card with some washi and topped it off with one of the little 2×2 cards.
I hope checking out the challenge entries this week will encourage you to print off your photos and get them into albums! They are just not the same on a facebook file or instragram!
Until next time, happy scrapping!

Such a gorgeous layout and a beautiful family too, thanks for joining us this week.
What a great balance between photos and Project Life cards. Great layouts! Love the colors – they tie perfectly with the fun adventure. Thanks so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project theme challenge – glad you did.
How gorgeous are these pages!! I would love to stay in a Teepee – we don’t have them in New Zealand, lol. Thanks for helping us showcase Project Life at Global Design Project this week.
