I was scheduled to have my monthly Mum and Me class on Monday and ironically I had designed a Get Well card using Healing Hugs. I have had a rollercoaster few days where my Mum was taken seriously ill and rushed to hospital. As it stands today, things have slightly improved but we can only take one day at a time. If you pray, I would please ask you to include her, and us, in your prayers. The card I created was inspired by a card I saw in our exclusive demonstrator magazine signed by Sylvia Schwrek. The sentiment on the inside of the card is just perfect for my Mum and says ‘if hugs and kisses could cure you’d be immune to everything’.
Healing Hugs is one of Stampin’ Ups ‘Distinktive’ stamps which produce fabulous photo-realistic images. There are a couple of other sets in our new catalogue that use this effect, but this one was my favourite.

Tips and Tricks for my Healing Hugs Card
- For the gorgeous effect of the Distinctive stamps to be at its prime, you need just the right amount of ink on the ink pad. If your pad is too juicy, the effect will be lost. Equally, it will be hard to see it if your pad is too dry.
- I fussy cut the flower and mounted it with dimensionals over some stamped leaves and DSP.
- I addd a few punched vellum leaves and Share What You Love pearls to embellish.

Unfortunately we have had to cancel our WLCR Crafting Retreat at Lydiard Park next week. My colleague is running a smaller event on Saturday for those that are interested and I will put on a similar event sometime in the near future. I do apologise for any disappointment we have caused you.
In the meantime, do keep us in your prayers.
Until next time, happy crafting,
Eimear
