I had a great class on Saturday where we got together online to make up the Joy to the World Paper Pumpkin kit.
It is such a great kit – the suggested layouts are superb – I wasn’t even tempted to go ‘off piste’ when making the cards themselves. However, I’ve had a lot of fun with the stamp set since I’ve completed the kit and used it on my Facebook live this morning for a couple of alternatives.

In the live video, I made a gorgeously decadent gold card (which was a case of my own card that I made to showcase on the Saturday class. I’ve used the Forever Gold Laser-cut Speciality paper – which I have to admit I have only just started to use.. I surrounded the laser-cut paper with a Gold Foil frame made from the Stitched Rectangle framelits.
There is a gorgeous floral stamp in the Joy the World kit which is similar to the cut-outs for some of the kit cards. I embossed it several times in gold and layered it in the bottom left hand side of my frame. It’s hard to pick out on the photo, but each petal and leaf has had a brush with the Wink of Stella – an absolute must for your craft room!
Finally, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the kit in Gold and slipped it under the flowers.
I mentioned this was a case of one of my Saturday cards, so here was the original.
As I said, it is a very similar card with just an extra layer of Cherry Cobbler instead of the gold frame. The flowers were coloured in Cherry Cobbler this time, but I picked up the ink with the Wink of Stella brush for extra shimmer. It’s such a sparkly card in real life, but so difficult to show its true beauty in a flat image.
