This month we have the challenge of creating a One Layer Card. If you know me, you will know that I would find this challenge one of the most difficult. I don’t think my cards are overly fussy but to not use layers or dimensionals is so out of my comfort zone, but I hope nonetheless that you will warm to my Wonderfully Wicked One Layer halloween card!
Without further ado, here is my contribution to this months challenge.
Tips and Tricks for my Wonderfully Wicked One Layer Card
- Create a template using a circle punch or circle die.
- Sponge Crushed Curry through the aperture working from the centre of the circle towards the outside.
- Continue by adding a little Pumpkin Pie to the mix to create more depth to the Full Moon.
- Stamp the bats or the cat in Memento ink over the moon.
- Finally stamp your sentiment of choice
Such a simple card, but I have to admit it is effective as a one-layer. (I had to sit on my hands to avoid popping up the sentiment on a die-cut!!)
Do hop on to the rest of the group to see how they got on with the challenge. Next up is Tanya Rees, one of our fabulous Artisan team. Find her blog by clicking on the arrow below.
You may have seen another project of mine using Wonderfully Wicked and if you are now sure that this needs to be in your collection – and quickly – for this Halloween, then do click on the images below to bring you straight to my online shop.

You have totally nailed the single layer card Eimear. Love it!
What a fun card! Sponging is one of my favorite techniques.
Love your card Eimear, we had similar ideas!!!
Great minds, eh?!
