One for the Boys – Lets Get Hopping 36

I’ve managed to get my ducks in a row and participate in this month’s Lets Get Hopping Blog Hop with our theme of One for the Boys.  It’s so good to be back and to showcase the first suite I bought from the Annual Catalogue for my masculine card today. World of Good is a fabulous suite and still a firm favourite of mine! You may have arrived from Nina or this may well be your first stop but either way, you’re very welcome.

Here’s my card for today’s hop – which, correct me if I’m wrong but, I think is known as a Double Easel Fold…? It’s super easy to make.

It may be using the more masculine shades of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso, but with a few splashes of our Brass Foil Sheets for the die-cuts, I trust you find this card anything but boring!  My sentiment is stamped on a die-cut using the Nested Labels dies. I felt the Whisper White was too bright on it’s own against the map DSP so I sponged some Crumb Cake over it.

I’ve decorated the inside with the compass stamp to continue the theme into the inside of the card.

To help the elements stand up properly, I’ve cut a circle out of a Window Sheet and placed it behind the globe to give it some support.  I also cut a small strip to extend up behind the globe.  They are both attached with glue dots which are more or less invisible on the reverse, so don’t spoil the card in any way, but give it the extra support it needs.
