I was lucky to have 8 of my team join me for Onstage 2018 in Birmingham last weekend. It’s the perfect opportunity to treat them to a little gift. I love to go to town a bit on the packaging – not least because I know, as crafters, they will really appreciate it. Equally, I know they will also love working out what I’ve used.
We have the fabulous linen bags in our Autumn Winter catalogue which we call Santa Bags. While of course they are perfect for Christmas gifts – they are also perfect for any time of the year as I hope my little gift proves.
The gifts inside was a gorgeous Neal’s Yard soap and I used the colours from the soap box as inspiration for my palette.
Tips and tricks for my Tropical Chic Onstage 2018 Team Gift
- I love using a two-tone effect for the flowers and have done so before. I stamped first in Blushing Bride and then edged the flowers with Lovely Lipstick.
- My leaves were Call Me Clover and I matched the ribbon to the leaves.
- As I was using a lot of the In-colours, I used Blueberry Bushel as my cardstock and ink. This ensured everything co-oridinated.
- I wanted the leaves on the bags to be fairly muted on the bags themselves. The colours I used were Shaded Spruce and Garden Green,
- The sentiment is perfect for two colours. The script can be in one colour and the print in another – you can either use our markers or get creative with a few sticky notes.
Here are the supplies I used to create my team gifts. You can get this gorgeous soap here, I can’t tell you how fabulous my craft room was smelling while creating these gifts. In fact, the box I used to transport the gifts is still smelling sweetly! Don’t forget to use this month’s Rainbow Rewards shopping code (pictured below) when making a purchase. If you do, I will send you a free gift in the post.
