This is a scheduled post and as you read it, I will be in Telford with several ladies from my Aces and Diamonds team and many other demonstrators from the across the UK.
It is such an exciting day and something we look forward to every six months.
One of the Stampin’ Up traditions is swapping. We create a card front or element and make a large quantity of them and we swap with our fellow demonstrators receiving one of their makes in return.
We use these as samples for our customers, displays in our craft rooms and inspiration for our future crafting projects.
I thought I would show you my swap and how I would use it in a future crafting project.
So here is my card front – I kept it simple using just one stamp sets and one colour. I hoped it might inspire some of our newer demonstrators who are just starting out on their Stampin’ Up journey and may have limited supplies.
I took a 3 inch square piece of Whisper White cardstock and sliced it in half on the diagonal with my Stampin trimmer. I then sponged the rose image from Floral Phrases and sponged the edges with Night of Navy. These triangles were then adhered to opposite corners of my Whisper White layer.
I then stamped the other images on the diagonal using the edge of the triangles as a guide in order to get everything as straight as possible. I think they all ended up pretty straight!
Here is my swap made up into a full card.
I hope you like it and if you swapped with me today in Telford, I hope it inspired you to create something similar either with this set or with another.
Here is a list of all the products I used in my swap – I’ve added Night of Navy cardstock to the finished card.
