For this week’s Facebook Live, I wanted to recreate a card I’d made on our team challenge night. We had cased a fun fold by Tina Zinck of Serene Stamper and I wanted to make my own version that would work with our measurements and fit our envelopes. Here is the Pansy Petals Fun Pocket card I made firstly on our Team night.
It uses Fresh Freesia cardstock and the pretty Pansy Petals DSP. I’m a sucker for gingham and stripes so this paper is a must for me. Not only will you find the most gorgeous floral images including these pansies, but THREE different shades of gingham – and a striped one – HEAVEN!!
There is a whole suite based around the pansies which includes a stamp set, dies and super cute bumblebee trinkets but I chose to fussy cut my pansies today.
I added the in-colour jewels to the floral centres as a final embellishment together with a wrap-around of ribbon as a closure. You can click on the image below to see how I made it and get all the details.
In the video, I changed around the colours and used a card base of Pale Papaya with a mat of Fresh Freesia.
I used pretty much the same layout, just changing around the pansies a little to co-ordinate better with the DSP colours I chose.
Both cards use The Best Year stamp set which has some great greetings. These can be used the way I’ve used them here or also as an inside and outside of a card.
I hope you enjoyed my Pansy Petal Fun Pocket cards – they are so easy to make. I do hope you’ll give them a try. If you need to purchase anything I used, the links are below. Don’t forget to use the hostess code o the right hand side bar to receive a free gift in the post from me as a thank you.
