On my recent Facebook Live, I showcased the fun Floating Cardstock technique. It’s such a fun technique and I loved mimicking the stripes of the DSP.
It’s a great technique to use up scraps of cardstock – we all keep them and now finally we have a good use for them!
I do love the effect of the floating cardstock and matching it with this fun and bright Pattern Party makes for a very pretty card. It’s hard to photograph properly but it’s quite the optical illusion. You can see how I created it by clicking on the video link below.
I felt the bright and funky patterns of the DSP were enough and a tiny sequin sparkle was the only embellishment needed.
Don’t forget that the Starter Kit offer ends Monday May 31st, so if you’re on the fence, now is the time to jump right in! You can read all the details here
Finally here is a list of all the products I used for the card. I only used the tiniest craps of cardstock but wanted to list the colours for you. I do hope you give this style of card a try, I’ve seen great samples online from both Melissa Stout and Alisa Tilsner – do check them out. In the meantime, if you’ve any questions about this technique or you need help getting your starter kit order together, then please get in touch,
Until the next time, happy crafting
