Hello and Welcome to our very first Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop. We are planning to create a Blog Hop at the end of every month, so watch out for it!
You may have arrived from Louise or you may just be starting your tour with my post, but be sure to hop on as we are sharing some fabulous projects this morning all themed for Love and Valentines.
Here is my first Valentine’s card.
I’ve used a layout that I’m sure saw on a challenge last month – but for the life of me I can’t remember where!!
I’ve used a card base of Basic Black, followed by a mat of Whisper White and a layer of Real Red embossed with the Happy Heart embossing folder. I’ve then used a piece of Silver Fancy Foil Designer Vellum – there are three different designs; spots, stripes and of course hearts which I’ve used here. This is encircled with a piece of Real Red cotton ribbon and I’ve raised my central piece on top of this on dimensionals.
The stamped heart comes from a fabulous stamp set called Little Sunshine. It’s mainly geared towards newborns but change up the colours and you have a whole different use for this stamp set – plus as Stampin’ Up always manages to do, it co-ordinates perfectly with some of our existing products. In this case, the heart image fits our sweetheart punch perfectly. I’ve also used the sweetheart punch for the Red Glimmer heart.
Finally I embossed the greeting which comes from the Good Greetings stamp set in silver onto some vellum. This set is no longer current but if you’re quick you can catch it on in our Clearance rack for just £8.99. It’s attached with glue dots just underneath the jewel rhinestones.
There are quite a few elements on this card and a number of layers but once your cutting is done, it is quite a quick one to put together.
I have prepared another card which is a very quick and easy one. I got the idea the idea for cascading red and black hearts from a card I saw on Pinterest that used a completely different stamp set. I decided to use Hello Life on mine and my middle heart is punched out of Real Read cardstock using the Sweetheart punch. I also used the What’s Up punch to create a little Cupid’s arrow through my heart. The sentiment is also from the set Good Greetings – can’t recommend it highly enough but because it’s on our clearance rack – if you’re tempted, do get it now, as once it’s gone, it’s gone!
Don’t forget, our fabulous Sale-a-bration promotion is ongoing until March 31st and any purchase of £45 earns you a FREE product from our Sale-a-bration brochure. Read more about it here.
