How has another month gone by? Seriously, I know I start each blog hop by saying this, but seriously, this time, I REALLY mean it!!
As we are approaching Christmas, we decided this month our theme would be a Festive Frenzy. Y0u may have arrived from Emily or jumped straight in here at Stamp in Colour, either way, you are very welcome. Do hop round us all, as we have some great projects lined up for you this morning and if you’ve time, please leave a comment, we love to read them and know your thoughts.
For my project today, I decided to update a project I made this time last year, you may remember it here. I do love making luminaires and they look great as table favours on Christmas Day. Over the last few years, I’ve always had the youngest child napping over the traditional lunch time, so it has become more traditional for us to eat our Christmas dinner in the evening and it’s always so much more atmospheric in candlelight – it does drive my Mother mad as she can’t see her dinner but we persevere!!
I’ve changed up last year’s design to accommodate the fabulous Sleigh Ride Edgelits (which are on the retiring list on a while stocks last basis! – don’t delay if you’re a fan as I’ve a feeling they are going to be the first item to sell out).
Here is the front view.
This time, I used Mossy Meadow with the Merry Moments DSP stack, and the vellum is embossed with the Softly Falling embossing folder. Doesn’t it look like snow when you emboss on vellum, what a great effect?!
And the rear…
I just love our Snowflake embellishments this year, so beautiful left in their natural state, but so easy to emboss too.
I do hope you like the luminaire. All online orders over £25 and using the current hostess code between now and December 13th (SU’s last guaranteed shipping date for Christmas) will receive a flat pack version of this in the post from me.
Here is everything you need, should you wish to create your own version.

oooh this is lovely- very festive indeed and I’ll be mourning the loss of the edgelits with you! Is the box from a die or self made?
Made with my own fair hands, Louise!! 😉
I used the Deco Label framelits to create the shape on the closure.
Oh Eimear, I love both this year’s updated project and last years and I may have to give this a go … something quite different and so very effective with a battery operated tea light …. Fabulous creations xx
Thank you so much Mikaela xx
Lovely projects yet again Eimear – I really love things like this 🙂 so much fun to have a few of them dotted around!
Thanks Pip! Missed you this month
I love this – I hope it helps your mother see what she’s eating this year! I’m glad to see someone else hooked on mossy meadow. xx
I’m hoping so too Liz 😉 and yes, took a while but mossy meadow has grown on me – pardon the pun!
Gorgeous project Eimear! Lovely colours and use of the edgelits.
Thank you Caro, I have to get as much use as possible out of my favourite Edgelits before they retire! I will miss them though am sure they will have a fabulous replacement this time next year!
I LOVE this project Eimear, I am for sure going to make one of these, ok maybe two or three, …..
Thank you Kim, I will certainly be making a few pairs of Santa’s pants!
What a gorgeous project and a fabulous idea to enhance your dinner xx
Thanks Emily, maybe it will help my Mum see what she’s eating!! 😂
