Welcome to this month’s Stampin’ Creative Blog Hop where our theme is Summer Dreams. When I think of Summer, I think of bold and bright colours and I believe our brightest and most beautiful Designer Series paper is found in the Expression in Ink suite. We have some gorgeous greens, some beautiful oranges and the brightest pink in this Magenta Madness piece!
My July class series featured this gorgeous paper and I coupled it with the fantastic Biggest Wish stamp set. I just love the Bold capitals paired with the scripted font.
Here are two of my cards from our July series, these were such fun to make and both are made from a single 6 x 6 inch piece of the DSP.
I think this is one of my favourite DSP pieces in the pack (though it’s pretty difficult to choose – it is SOOOOOO gorgeous!). This paper has been so popular, it is currently on back order, but coming back into stock this coming week, so if you love it as much as I do, do add it to your next order to secure your pack.
I chose to half emboss the word Thanks in gold once I had stamped it in Magenta Madness. I really like the effect.
Card no. 2…
The second card uses the beautiful floral die as a centrepiece. It is such a beautiful die and I’ve used it before here with Rainbow Glimmer paper with such a dramatic effect.
You can see how the card looks standing here, it’s such a beautiful effect with the acetate and so easy to make too.
I hope these two cards have given you all the warm fuzzy feels of summer. Do hop on to our next contributor and see what has inspired them for our Summer Dreams Blog Hop. I cant wait to hop around everyone as we have such talent from all around the world in this group. Be sure to leave us a comment if you can, as we do love so much to hear from you.
Until next time, happy crafting
