We always make a showstopper piece at my Christmas Crafternoon and this year we made this fabulous Advent Calendar.
I cased a project I found on Pinterest which you can see here, but I changed mine up a little as I don’t think my ladies would ever have forgiven me if I had asked them to make the original in an afternoon! It must have taken the lady days to complete, but am sure you will agree is absolutely fabulous!
To help make the task easier, I cut out all the white squares and all the numbers in advance and left out all my stamps that I thought would fit the bill, letting them decorate their pieces how they wished. I was glad to finally find a good use for the antlers in Wonderland!
We stamped everything in Versamark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. My heat gun got a great workout last Saturday – I think it’s glad of the rest this week!!
In the centre, I created a landscape scene with the Sleigh Ride Edgelits and heat embossed the snowflakes from Wonderland and the sentiment Happy Christmas from Oh What Fun!
I hope you like today’s project – oh, If you’re wondering, I used the 50cm x 50cm Ribba Frame from IKEA (with the glass removed). Now, to fill it – I’m scouring Pinterest for ideas that are not just chocolate!!
Here are all the products used in today’s project. Don’t forget any order over £25 using the current hostess code found in the right hand side bar, will receive a FREE project in the post to assemble (tea light not included).
Until next time, happy crafting,
Eimear
This is so gorgeous! I love it!
Aw thank you Caro xx
Eimear – that is absolutely gorgeous. I’m sure that all the ladies (and the intended recipients) loved it. I imagine we won’t be seeing anything from you using gold for a week or two?
Oh I still have a bit left!!! 😉
