We had our team meeting last week and we do like to swap cards with each other. I decided to make a Christmas wreath but not having the Wondrous Wreath set yet, I decided to use my Petite Petals set.
I used Petite Petals to stamp on Garden Green and punched it out with the coordinating punch. To decorate I used the little flower from Something to Say on Cherry Cobbler and punched it out with the coordinating punch from the Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack. I embellished the flowers with the smallest pearls coloured with Cherry Cobbler Blendabilities and finished it off with a bow tied up with Cherry Cobbler seam binding.
I fixed my wreath onto a Crumb Cake base stamped with the Hardwood stamp. If my team ladies are reading this, I added a little sponging to the edges with crumb cake and I do feel that this really added to the card adding some dimension.
I decided to also make a Halloween version for my daughter’s school teachers.
When it was World Cardmaking Day a few weeks ago, my 6 year old daughter made 28 cards for her classmates so I thought it only right that I make her teachers some cards too. I used the same principle as with my Christmas wreath but this time I embellished my wreath with some little pumpkin flowers. I got the idea for the flowers from a card I saw on Pinterest from Tracey Elsom. Don’t you just love Pinterest?!
The embossing folder I used is now retired but all the other products used are listed below.
I hope today’s cards have provided you with with some inspiration for your Christmas and Halloween projects.
