A little while ago, I saw a card on the very talented Mary Fish’ site, that I just loved. Even though I had none of the supplies she used to make the card, I still loved the layout and decided to use my own supplies to make a Christmas version.
I used the colours featured in the All is Calm Designer Washi Tape to guide me in my colour choice. So, I’ve used Soft Sky with Lost Lagoon and Silver Foil for my star which was die-cut with the second smallest star from the Stars framelits collection.
The greeting is from the Good Greetings stamp set which is a freebie for anyone spending over £200 or a hostess from an event where orders equal £200 or more until October 31st. You can read all about the promotion here.
And do you notice the delicate colour on the little vintage button? They are normally transparent but I coloured it with the lightest Coastal Cabana Blendabilities marker.
I do hope you like the cad, if you would like to, please leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
You can see Mary’s card that I CASED here. I do love her style, don’t you? I hope I provided you with some inspiration for your own Christmas projects.
Here is a list of exactly what I used if you would like to make your own version.
Eimear – this is gorgeous!! I saw the original on Mary’s site when she posted and was a bit “ho hum” about it. But you have taken the idea and made an absolutely beautiful card. I THINK that you may actually have persuaded me that washi tape can work on a card. What a surprise – as usual, you’ve added to my wish list!!
Thanks, Liz. Well, I do have to live up to that reputation!! lol
