I have a project to share with you today using the Crazy about You stamp set combined with some FREE Sale-a-bration paper.
I’ve CASE’d this project from US demo Ronda Wade (CASE – stands for Copy and Share Everything – something we’re very proud of in Stampin’ Up circles). However, Ronda used a DSP on her card that I didn’t have. Yet, I really liked the Mossy Meadow scalloped effect paper she used and wanted to recreate it. Then I had a brainwave!! Our free Irresistibly paper pack has a scalloped effect paper. This paper is fab! It has a glossy patterned effect that resists colour, leaving you with a beautiful effect. And the best bit is you can choose a free pack of 12 sheets (2 sheets each of 6 different patterns) for every £45 purchase.
The colours I used in this card are Mossy Meadow and Crumb Cake and I used to brayer to apply Mossy Meadow to my paper. Here’s how…
So get your brayer and ink it up with Mossy Meadow or you colour of choice.
Make sure you have ink all over the brayer.
Roll it all over your piece, ensuring even coverage.
Then take some kitchen roll or a tissue and just ‘polish’ off the excess colour. This leaves behind the glossy white pattern – isn’t it great?! You can apply colour in many other ways – here’s a video direct from Stampin’ Up to show you some other ways.
Hope you enjoyed the video – probably explains it all better than my pictures!
As always here is a list of everything I used for my card today. The Cray about You set also comes in a bundle saving you a 15%. It is bundled with a great thinlit set, called Hello You, I’ve used the Happy in this card that you can see here.
Until next time, happy crafting,
Eimear
