It’s a big day in our house today as my little boy turns 5! He quite likes Superheroes and Spiderman is probably his favourite, so I thought I would dust off my punches and make a Punch Art Spiderman.
I had a quick look at Pinterest and Google for some inspiration, but I had to improvise as some of the punches used in other people’s cards were either retired or not (yet!!) in my collection. One thing I regret is not purchasing the Spider’s web embossing folder that was recently on our clearance rack – I never thought I would use it until today – a good lesson on if you see it, get it! So my webs are all hand-drawn with the SU white gel pen in the background and a Basic Black marker on Spidey’s clothes!
I wanted to continue the theme onto my son’s cake but he was very insistent on having a pirate cake, the same one he had a few years ago! Heres’s a picture –
I have some way to go to improving +my cake-decorating skills, but I know my now 5 year old son will approve!!

J’ai utilise large oval, extra large oval, large heart (the old style) et modern label. J’ai coupe les yeux a la main, mais je sais que c’est possible utiliser les ailles du ‘bird builder punch’.
